PONY CLUB AUSTRALIA AND PONY CLUB QUEENSLAND AFFILIATION

 ​​Southside Pony Club is a member of Pony Club Queensland and Pony Club Australia.

Pony Club Queensland is the controlling organisation for all Pony Clubs in Queensland and allocates clubs to a zone in accordance with geographical location. Southside Pony Club is within Zone 1.

Zone 1 comprises of delegates from each Club within the Zone and is responsible for coordinating event calendars, proficiency certificate assessments, official accreditation and endorse State and National representative applications.

Safety for both rider and horse is paramount and all members need to be familiar with the National Gear Rules. ​

The rules were developed for Pony Club Australia using the guiding principles of rider safety and horse welfare. These rules are intended to:

  • inform the purchase of gear by new and existing members 
  • cater for needs of beginner and experienced riders
  • provide both practical and technical information where required
  • cover the large variety of horse sports enjoyed by Pony Club members
